1. The online cancellation period
For an online service contract, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days from the day the contract is made. You do not need to give a reason. To use that right, send a clear statement to [email protected] before the period expires.
2. Asking us to start immediately
The service is intended to start after successful payment and completion of the information needed for your selected plan. At checkout, you expressly ask us to begin during the 14-day cancellation period rather than waiting for it to end.
If you cancel after the service has started but before it has been fully performed, the law may allow a proportionate charge for the service supplied up to the time you cancel. Any refund would then be the amount paid less that proportionate charge.
If the service has been fully performed within the cancellation period after your express request and acknowledgement, the statutory right to cancel may end. We assess each request using the order, consent and service records rather than applying a blanket refusal.
3. Missing setup information
Payment does not enable managed AutoBook without the required MyRoadSafety details. If information is missing, the account may remain in a setup-required or Notify-only state. Contact us promptly if you do not want to complete setup. We will review what service was supplied before cancellation and calculate any refund required by law.
4. If the service is not supplied as agreed
If you believe the service is faulty, materially different from its description or not being provided, contact us with the order email and a short explanation. We will investigate the service and account records. Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, the appropriate remedy may include correcting the service, a proportionate price reduction, cancellation or a refund.
A lack of a matching earlier appointment is not by itself proof of a fault because the RSA controls availability. However, monitoring and plan fulfilment must still match what was sold to you.
5. Duplicate and failed payments
If the same order is charged more than once, we will refund the duplicate payment after verification. A pending card authorisation that never becomes a completed Stripe payment is controlled by the card issuer and normally falls away automatically.
6. How to request cancellation
Email [email protected] from the address used for the order. Include your name, order email, order number if available, purchase date and a clear statement that you want to cancel.
You do not have to use this wording. Any clear cancellation statement sent before the applicable deadline is sufficient.
7. Refund timing
Where a refund is due, it is issued without undue delay and within the time required by law, normally to the original payment method. Banks and card issuers can take additional time to show the credit after Stripe processes it.
8. Questions
Contact [email protected] before opening a payment dispute so we can review the order and provide the appropriate remedy. This request does not restrict your right to contact your bank, Stripe, the CCPC or another competent authority.
